This is a 17th century yellow copper bed warmer that was transformed into a jardinière. The lid of the bed warmer is permanently attached to the basin. it is adorned with a bird motif in the center, and four baskets of flowers and fruit at the cardinal points. The basin is fitted with a made to measure metal liner that will contain water if this is to be used as a planter. This jardinière can be either attached to a wall or simply set upon a piece of furniture. It weighs 2.35 kg. The lid has a diameter of 28 cm. The basin is 11 cm high and has a diameter of 30 cm.
