19 th century Napoleon III hunting dog ink stand is made of Babbitt metal and is signed BROSSY. It is a copy of a bronze original also signed BROSSY. Babbitt metal was used as an alloy instead of bronze because it was more affordable, therefore more readily available to a larger public.
It has two ink wells. It measures 10 cm high (4"), 19 cm long (7.5') and 13 cm wide (5.25 "). A classical piece to have on a desk in a study. Click on thumbnails for larger pictures
